I'll have to pay more attention but don't think mine does that.

I keep my ringer volume all the way up at home. When do not disturb comes on the volume stays high, but it only rings for starred contacts. When do not disturb shuts down my volume is still at high, as it was before. No volume change noticed since I got the phone.

Correction: using a volume slider widget I noticed that it does indeed silence the ringer during do not disturb. Same as turning the volume all the way down. Still rings for starred contacts. I checked this awhile ago. Turning off do not disturb restores the volume.

Either a software bug...or an app conflict. Are you still tinkering with tasker style apps? have you tried it in Safe Mode?

Don't have many apps installed yet that could conflict. I have tried to restart in safe mode by holding power button then tapping again to get safe mode promot but safe mode prompt never comes up.

Are you long-pressing Power Off? You have to do a long press. Just FYI....keep in mind that Safe Mode may sign you out of some apps and may even delete some Home screen icons. It's still a good troubleshooting tool, just works differently with newer Android versions than you might remember.

Tried but safe mode doesn't seem to come up on my z2 force must be a special way. Anybody with a z2 force been able to get into safe mode? Maybe I'll test in a fresh display at Verizon store and see if dnd works in the store
