Can I install root using bootstrap

    I want to clean out my phone but I won't have a computer to put root back on with so I was wondering if I could put on bootstrap, swipe my data and then flash root.

    Have you considered using the OTA Rootkeeper app from the market?

    You need root for bootstrap it works by modifying files that only root has privileges for
