I'm getting the icon that says my free memory is way low. Using root explorer I see that the cache folder holds a huge amount of data. They are titled, downloadfile-1.apk. It's every program I have downloaded. Are these apk's neccessary to run the apps or are they just the remaining shell and the program is set up elsewhere. Can I delete them?

Get cache cleaner. App for rooted phones that will delete cache every night.
