Can Droid connect to websites on its own?

My BF says his Droid (the first one that came out to market) is acting weird and has dialed a few websites on its own. The data history shows connection to banks, KSL classified mobile, and naughty websites. The last time this happended was just a few days ago. Does the phone have any known kinks to, perhaps, connect to those websites if they are already in the 'history' file? Or in another way? Or am I being bamboozled?

To the OP:

Do you live in Utah, Idaho, or Wyoming? If you do, your boyfriend is going to those sites. I googled KSL classified mobile, and the first things that come up are the mobile websites for the KSL classifieds. I'd say he's looking at porn, possibly using a bank account you don't know about to pay for it, and looking for things to buy online. Why he needs to lie about any of that, I don't know.

LOL. Not about naughty sites...

...everything to do with phone dialing on its own. About several months ago I was standing about three feet away from phone and it dialed someone as it sat on the counter. Freaked me out! AND NOW GOING TO WEBSITES??? Surely not possible. Ha! We'll see if it happens again.

Strangely enough the random dialling is a real thing its been documented on the motorola support forums, at least for the D1. Nothing about no websites though......
