Can any PLEASE help me with Superuser?

I tried 2-3 methods to root my phone, all unsuccessful. I am at the point now that I cannot uninstall Superuser because I cannot obtain root, and I cannot root my phone because when I get to the last step of installing SU, it fails, because it's already installed. Superuser is not working at all even though it's showing up in my app list. Im at the point now where I just need to cleanse the phone of anything i've done to it, but im between a rock and a hard place...Is there anyone out there that can help me??

did you try a factory reset and see if it removes it so you can start over? Or try over at XDA for help with repushing a new su to it. I'm not good enough with adb yet.

Has this problem been solved for you yet?? If not I can help but, there is no sense in typing my long drawn out solution if you have already found one.
