Can a Loyal Motorola buyer get a hand?

Hi Folks!
Looooonnnnnnngggg Time Motorola user....CB radio long time....
Bought the Bionic when I made the smartphone move....Upgraded to Bionic, and I love my phone. Now ICS update is failing right ledt and center after Big Red kept promising and not producing.....Motorola used the Bionic folks as tester and the VP at Motorola said Bionic users got a "raw deal"...and I'm frustrated at the lack of 'assistance' the 2 companies are making available to users. Have I missed something? running a straight .905. and have downloaded the ICS upgrade 6 times (7???) and it fails in the installation at about 25%. Not a serious phone geek, but I can follow instructions.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (Even from Verizon ;^))
