I bought a used Droid X for $30 "AS IS" for my mother-in-law to use. Everything works great, except there's a real fine scratch across the lens cover, making for some cloudy / foggy pictures.

Does anyone have any ideas on how (if possible) to repair the scratch? Wondering if toothpaste, or some other chemical / solution would help fill in the scratch on the glass. It looks like it is part of the whole camera assembly, so I'd rather not take the phone apart or have to find a new camera.

Thoughts?

There are scratch removers for stuf like headlights on vehicles. Of cours that would be a ton more than you need for just your phone.... but it would work

sent from my Droid Bionic 3 using a flux capacitor and tapatalk, while driving 88 mph.... thanks Doc, for making texting and driving so easy.

I polished out a scratch on a plastic watch face with toothpaste. It was a couple of years ago and I think I got the fix from an internet search.
