Camera app won't open.

On my wife's phone. It's weird. We've rebooted, checked for system updates. It comes up for half a second and goes away. Yet the 3rd party camera apps work fine, like retro camera.. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Does that sometimes to me.Look for a gray picture or a picture you know you didnt take.Delete it then you should be good to go.

Same here this is a pain in the rear end.... Just when i really wanted to take a pic the damn thing didnt open

so she did a picture dump and it's worked. sort of. now the camera works but when she clicks on Gallery, sometimes it says loading media for a while. I wonder if she needs to delete that thumbs database...

My camera button was inoperative on a brand new phone. Got it replaced.
