So my phone got disconnected and I figured out how to text through google voice using wifi but can I make calls through google voice? When it dials, it keeps sending me to Verizon wireless. I bought the application Groove IP and it worked as far as I could make calls, but the person couldn't hear me, my mic wouldn't work. I tried playing with the settings but I refunded my money because I couldn't figure it out and I didn't wanna lose that 5 bucks. Is there something else I can try or am i just screwed out of calling and can only text?

Right, GV can text but needs an actual phone to make a voice call. Skype should work over Wifi, not sure where you saw that.

After I register it says "Skype mobile does not currently work on WiFi and requires switching to a Verizon Wireless data network connection. This may affect other aapps using a Wifi connection"

don't use the "Skype mobile" app. Go to Android Market and download "Skype", that should work over Wifi.
