Hi Friends,
A buddy of mine recently found out that her phone is rooted and the imei number is changed, when she tried making a call it’s saying not registered on network and none of the network works. She tried the method of going into service mode and turning off the FTM( FIELD TESTING MODE) but the code won’t work. I can´t seem to find any info to help her. Help! Thanks in advance.

Where did she purchase the device? She'll need to contact her carrier to make sure the device isn't stolen. It's likely someone sold her a device that was either reported stolen or sold their own device that wasn't fully paid off. She'll need to verify the imei number and then (if it's good) get an unlock code from her carrier. I think there are websites that check the imei numbers as well as obtain codes.
Hang in there, I'm sure others will weigh in on this subject.

First step is to contact the carrier to verify the phone is legit.
