Call me crazy... Notification / Ringtone link

I hope this was just overlooked and they will bring back that setting to link the notifications and ringtion volume together. last night about 3am my notification ringer went off full volume. I usually turn my ringers way down(with the rocker switch) or off because my phone is 1 foot from my head and i tend to wake to the vibration if i do have the ringer off. But last night that notification went off and i spent the better part of 30mins look all through the setting menus and could not believe i could not find the setting..... now i know why..... Its not there to find!

yes this is very annoying. i may have to go back to an older version if this isnt fixed.
