calendar notifications

I have the calendar on my Bionic synced with google calendar on the PC. Got it all working peachy. Only issue is notifications. Is there any way to set notifications per event? I can turn it on so that every single event shows a notification or no events but nothing in between. I use my google calendar extensively and "call my professor about making up a midterm" is important enough to want a notification but "work 8am Monday through Friday" really doesnt need one.

I tried setting SMS notifications from the PC which works perfectly when i set a fake event for 15min. from now to test it, but doesnt work for any events that i actually need it for.

if you are talking about re occurring events I am not sure I have not tried them.
Individual events that you put in under the edit screen scroll down near the bottom & ther is a + & - to add or delete notifications.
