I just had a calendar notification for a 2PM class come through at 2:25. It should have gone off at 1:40PM. I'm on vacation this week so it doesn't matter this time, but this has been happening very frequently on SS 5.x. Most of the time, even.

I'm guessing it's a GB memory management thing? I've left compcache at the default 18% and I don't keep lots of stuff running.

Is this happening to others? Any thoughts on how to get it to be consistent so I can rely on it when I actually need it? Thanks!

I have calendar in the task list to be killed at startup - I'm betting that is it (I will remove this going forward). Enter this in terminal to comment out, then reboot. Test and get back to me please!

    sed -i "s/com.android.providers.calendar/#com.android.providers.calendar/g" /data/chevyno1/csm.lst

Thank you - commented out; will give it a couple days to catch a few notifications and will report back. :D

I had a typo in the command - was missing the leading '/' in front of data ...

I used Root Explorer to edit it so I could see what else was hiding in there so no worries :p

Cool - I figured you did, but just in case someone uses the command figured I'd better fix it! ;)

Yeah, i had to comment the calendar out of the task killer as well. I have to take medication every night at the same time and rely on my calendar to remind me. Almost missed my dose first day i had 5.1 installed. commenting it out of the list works perfectly

Cool thx for the feedback - I shouldn't have added it to the file in the first place!

Somehow calendar is still listed in 5.4. I commented it out to see if it clears up my late calendar reminder issues. Anyone else having the problem with 5.4?

Should not have been - if you did not wipe when installing 5.4, it would keep your last settings (/data/chevyno1/csm.lst). Check to see if calendar is in /system/xbin/csm.lst and not commented out via '#'.

If present in your /data/chevyno1/csm.lst, comment it out ...

I don't which version I was updating to when I last wiped, but calendar was definitely listed in my /data/chevyno1/csm.lst file. I already commented it out, and I'll have to see how it goes. Since the problem was intermittent, I won't know if this has taken care of it for a while.
