Look's like Google will be retiring the Chrome App Launcher on Mac, Linux, and Windows devices. That would be sad if people even knew what it was. Unfortunately it was not popular enough to have caught on with the masses.

I used it somewhat...but then realized what's the point when most of the apps I opened were already on the Windows taskbar

I have it installed. Mostly just a few browser games in there. It prompted me to download the launcher when I was trying to download a game or two, so I did. Haven't clicked on it in months though.
