Just double checked online and actually it's buy one get any device (smartphone wise) free, including the new HTC One M8.
The S5 is $599.99 off contact on Verizon. (typical Verizon price, not bad)

How does this work? I know you have to sign a 2-year for both phones.. But can I use one on a different account?

You'd have to have two lines eligible for upgrade on whichever account you get the bogo on.. Then.. After you activate the devices, you can swap em to another account /sell em.. Which ever..

How it works is.. Once a device is activated on a line.. It's part of that account.. If activated on another line on another account.. It then becomes part of that account.. Hope that makes sense..
