any ideas? the only thing it does is give my the option to shut down, airplane mode, and silent.
you're holding it too long. just press and let go
i figured it out. i dl'd "spare parts" and i changed the setting accidentally. i had it set to do 'nothing' instead of 'sleep'
Glad you figured it out.
I can't figure this one out either it gives me same option I hit ok for shutdown and it shuts down then about 20 seconds starts up again , in turn never totally shutting off? any ideas?
only first day on the droid
do you have it plugged into the charger?
yes plugged in
The screen is always on when the phone is charging.
Here's a link to the manual, which you may also find helpful: Motorola Droid - User Manual
yeah if you bothered to read the stuff that came with the phone it is always on while charging, so if you have it turned off and you plug it in it will turn on, if its plugged in and you shut it down it will restart. Something to do with power management I'm told, though I'm not certain.
nothing came with the phone just a quick start guide, that really tells you nothing, and a waring on radio emmissions, are gonna fry my brain
yes the quick start guide had the appropriate wordage I mentioned
JessiesGirl, thanks for the manual link thats what I needed
I appreciate it all
