I have an original droid and have started to see some serious performance issues. Someone stated in my other thread that they had gone to liquid 1.4 and that it helped them.

I figured I might entertain the thought before going down the new phone path.

With that said, can I do a simple flash of the liquid rom and restore apps like normal?

Would there be special steps because of going from bugless to liquid?

Anyone care to share some of the BIG differences between liquid and bugless?

I am assuming all my apps, wifi tether etc will continue to work as normal?

I never use Bugless before but may be my experience can help you.
I went to liquid from UD that time v3.0.1 and still has many bugs and try liquid v1.3.
Wipe every thing as usual and face zero problem with it till couple month it starts to reboot itself, then I upgrade to v1.42 and satisfy with it till now.

As for your apps, if you back it up with TiBu I assume it will be okay and FYI built in wired tether dont work for me but you can get wired apps and even wireless tether apps in the market.

    Hope it can help

I just went through this exact process this morning with no issues. My Droid 1 is running perfect. No lag at all (So Far)

I just switch from Bugless for the same reason. Install was typical for any other ROM. Performance seems better.

Yep. Make sure you manually wipe all partitions before installing. There are detailed instructions on the download page.

Select "wipe data/factory reset" - This will actually format your Data, Cache, and SD-ext partitions

that step there will not kill all data on my sd card correct?

SD data will remain intact. SDext (if you use apps2sd) will be wiped. It is generally recommended to wipe 2 or 3 times and also to wipe the boot and system partitions. I don't rely on rom manager app to do it automatically.

would be interesting to know how others have faired. I am back to lagville now. Almost instantly popped back up after several updates to apps. I am also seeing an increased number of waits and fc's im about to just start over with a fresh rom and install only from the market then data from a back up. who knows if that will help
