Yeah. That's what I'm doing right now. Pete's v .08 with AdamZ's low voltage kernel.

Use that link I posted up there. It's for JUST the kernels.

Well, after a day after a clean install, I hate to say it, but I was liking ultimate droid. IDK what to do. I lost my ROM "virginity" to Bugless, and after a day with ultimate droid I feel like Im sneaking around with Bugless' cute sister now. As far as the functionality goes, you cant beat Bugless. As far as form and presentation goes, Im leaning more towards ultimate. I feel conflicted!

Wiping data and cache would put you back at 2.0.1 (stock). This is a 2.1, ESE53 build, so an update.zip wouldn't work unless coming from another ESE53 ROM. You have to use nandroid to get to the 2.1 build first. Hope I helped :)

    Quick question fellow Droid owners.

I try my hardest to keep up with pete, but I cant keep track of all of these builds.

Anyway, I installed one of pete's 2.1 ROMs the other day (Not sure of the build number, but it was an ESE25). Am I going to have to do a nandroid backup and wipe my phone before installing v0.8 ESE53?

Also, if I update the ROM, will that overwrite the kernel I installed (Chevy's 1.0Ghz ESE25), and if it does, will I still need to reinstall another Chevy kernel to re-enable setcpu and wireless tethering?

I just want to know for sure before I go through the hassle of the whole process again, not that I don't appreciate the quick releases from pete

Once you run a 2.1 rom, you can just do the update.zip method. Then you will have to flash your kernel again. Blackdroid is trying a ROM that keeps your kernel, and I would suspect Pete will have the same plan in the works for a future Bugless update.

Pete's v8 already has an option to keep your current kernal. If you read closely there is two dl links for update zip, one that removes your kernal and one that dosen't

Question for anyone who installed the nandroid:

I wiped data and cache 3 times. And installed the nandroid.

the link said I would have wifi tethering installed as well has the new phone dialer options.

    However, neither are there....

    what happened???

Install went fine. Everything works great. But I can't seem to get the milestone weather widget to work. FC's everytime I try to open it. The phone portal works fine. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: After a few reboots and some and re-installs of the apk it works fine now. This ROM is by far the smoothest I've used.

So I noticed that the gmail notification LED only blinks when the phone is in lock mode. Is this something new?

hey guys, i'm having a bit of trouble with this v.8...

i'm coming from bugless beast 1.1, which FC a bunch of apps for me for some reason, was going to try this one out see if it would resolve anything...

so, i try the nandroid restore option, however i keep getting a nandroid error 28, which is "corrupted file"... tried redownloading, renaming, all that sorta stuff.. no success and the same error number

    i cant do the update.zip method, since 1.1 is a 2.0.1 rom...

i hope i provided enough info.. would like to try it through the nandroid restore to have a nice clean install. i followed all of the steps for the nandroid (wiping twice, both /data and cache.. put the un-rar folder into nandroid folder in no subfolders.. if you need more info let me know.. would really like to get this method down pat
