Install went fine. Everything works great. But I can't seem to get the milestone weather widget to work. FC's everytime I try to open it. The phone portal works fine. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: After a few reboots and some and re-installs of the apk it works fine now. This ROM is by far the smoothest I've used.

So I noticed that the gmail notification LED only blinks when the phone is in lock mode. Is this something new?

hey guys, i'm having a bit of trouble with this v.8...

i'm coming from bugless beast 1.1, which FC a bunch of apps for me for some reason, was going to try this one out see if it would resolve anything...

so, i try the nandroid restore option, however i keep getting a nandroid error 28, which is "corrupted file"... tried redownloading, renaming, all that sorta stuff.. no success and the same error number

    i cant do the update.zip method, since 1.1 is a 2.0.1 rom...

i hope i provided enough info.. would like to try it through the nandroid restore to have a nice clean install. i followed all of the steps for the nandroid (wiping twice, both /data and cache.. put the un-rar folder into nandroid folder in no subfolders.. if you need more info let me know.. would really like to get this method down pat

Put .7 on last night and saw the post for .8 this morning. :icon_ devil:

Well, since I had not done to much to configure .7 I figured I'd goto .8 today. Install was "easy peasy" and not one problem so far today. Loving it!!!!!!!

Just loaded .8 and I'm going to give the packaged kernal a shot. I was wondering how I get the wifi tethering going? Everything seems great with this so far!

I think every 2.1 ROM has that "feature".

    Application Dock

What is the Application Dock in the widgets? I added to one of my screens, but its just a blank clear bar. I can't drag it to the trash. Its just stuck there. Any thoughts? Thanks

Any ideas on how to delete it? I can't find it in root explorer.

Edit I finally found the 'hot spot' to press to get it off my screen. I still wonder what it is though.
    thanks for the reply

An app dock is a strip where you can place a bunch of app icons and you can slide it to get to them. Hard to explain. But its an alternative to folders. It doesn't come with these roms by default. I know it came with GDE back when I was using that. So you must have some app that added them.

So applying a theme to the framework-res.apk does not work on a ESE53 build?

Just keeps rebooting when I try to apply the Pulldown Editor theme that changes the "Verizon Wireless" to something custom.

    Anyone else having this problem??

I think it worked? This is my first time installing BB so I did the Nandroid install. My phone is still running smoked glass though. Do I need to remove Smoked Glass before performing the Bugless Beast Nandroid Install?
