    I have been running Pete's BB 0.4 since it came out and was wondering if anyone has installed the new UltimateDroid? I am interested in trying out the new UD. Any suggestions to which may be a better rom. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!

    I was running BB 0.4 for a while. I tend to switch often. I tried CM6 RC3 and found it to be amazing. It does stutter a lot. <--Off topic.

    --> On topic.

    UD7 is fast. Really fast. I suggest you nandroid and install it. Try it, that's really the only way to know for sure. :)

    I've run both, I am currently running UD 7. UD 7 blows BB 0.4 out of the water IMHO. The way I installed UD7 was I went here on my phones browser and downloaded the .zip file. Then I used ROM Manager to install downloaded file from SD card. Very easy and no problems!

    I used BB 0.4 before I discovered UD. I have never looked back. IMO it's the best rom out there. It's packed with features, gets very frequent updates that pack it with even more features. Try it for a week and I guarantee you won't switch to another rom any time soon.

    The only way you will know which Rom you prefer is to load it up and try it. Yes, UD is fast and smooth - so is LiQuID, LithMod, Sapphire, CyMod, SS, and...... Why root if you're only gonna try one or two roms?!

    UD7 is definitely easier to customize since it comes with UD's own UI settings... BB needs to be edited internally yourself to customize beyond the norm....
    BB is 'always' fully stable (thus why it's called 'Bugless') ---
    UDv7.0 installs running at full speeds, but then the more you use it the more you find some faults.... market doesn't reload all your apps, bluetooth voice dialing didn't work but has been patched since, physical keyboard also tweaked but has also since been patched, I had the hardest time finding a kernel that could run cooler than my Sapphire and BB installs (I did find cvpcs's 1GHz LV one eventually), and now for me was the deal-breaker is that the Wi-fi is broken beyond my abilities to fix....

    ....so.. the winner for me in this up and down race (I was so high on UD7 when I initially ran it for that first day)...lmao... has to be BB v0.4:)

    Mbk I just tried running my wifi and it works. I did do the updated 7.1.0a which you can find on ultimate droid. Maybe that will fix your wifi.

    Big fan of BB's work, but I have to say UD7 beats it hands down... If we ever get to see .5 BB, we'll see, but for now nothing beats UD 7.

    I haven't tried BB but, I can tell you that UD 7.0 is feature packed. I've tried Lithiium Mod, and Liquid Frozen Yogurt. Both are really nice. It's just more stuff to play with in UD 7.0. Honestly, I'd give Lithium Mod the nod as far as battery life. Just by a hair though. I can go all day on any of the three. I agree with an earlier poster though. why root if you're not going to try different stuff?

    BlackDroid is undoubtedly one of the best out there. You can have your own opinions but basted on fact you have to admit that this dude puts his heart and soul into the Droid. His newest UD7 is amazing. Far beyond any other ROM I have tested.

    Download UD7 at BlackDroidMod.com
    Download the Luna Theme HERE
    You can also download my Luna Theme "Extra Stuff" files, which is a folder of some themed apps, graphics, and even update.zip format files to change your keyboard to the new or old one. Enjoy!

    Compared to UD7, BB0.4 is kind of a joke, we'll see what Pete has in store, I'm not going to lie, I'm all bout giving up on it, it appears he's lost passion for the Droid and has moved on, while BD is fully dedicated to the Droid.
