Is there any way to alter the soft buttons that display at the bottom of the screen? I don't use google talk and would rather point the email button to my touchdown app.

    Thoughts?

Try a different launcher. LauncherPro is my choice and it is very customizable.

Sorry if I sound rude, but...
We are asking this question, because we obviously DONT want ADW or LauncherPro on our Droids. I want as few 3rd party apps that slow my phone down as possible.
So, once again, is it POSSIBLE to change Pete's 'stock' homebar on BB 0.6? I noticed when I saw the first screenshots of the Gingerbread icons, they were on a homebar that looked just like BB 0.5. Is there a way to put that homebar on without installing unnecessary apps? (That and it doesnt seem the Gingerbread Icons are implemented in the launcher :()

The homebar is one of the main things that kept me with BB 0.5 and not changing to all the other ROMS out.
Thanks Pete, Loving BB as always!!

If you are complaining about 3rd party apps, then you shouldn't be rooted in the first place man. That's the whole point.

The stock launcher BLOWS. Just man up, get LauncherPro. It runs better and cleaner. And allows 1000000000000x more customizations.

I'm with TangoSucka and lee_D; you should use LauncherPro. You can even download a gingerbread dock background image from xda (I think) if you want :)

LP is a far better launcher if you have it set up right

If you download another launcher, you can always get rid of the stock. I use adw and after I installed it, I got rid of the stock launcher using titanium backup

Now you're just funny! Everyone has their own opinions, dont force yours on other people.
Im glad your rooted for your launcherpro, but some of us do it for CPU speed, functionality, ROMS, & not being 'locked' out of our phones by our carrier(s).
LauncherPro is nothing I am in a hurry to try, no matter how hard you flame me for it. I know that the less you are running, the faster your phone is.

I asked a question & got an answer that didnt include whining (thanks lee) so your comments were unneccessary IMHO.

That is good to know. That is information that not everyone knows. :) It is pointless to have 2 launchers on your phone. :) Thanks!
