Bubbleator is a utility that will slowly scroll notifications like missed calls, new SMS messages, and the latest posts from your Twitter and Facebook streams across your home screen as a live wallpaper.

The app runs quietly in the background, and even during the install process walks you through logging in to Facebook and Twitter and connecting the app so it can pull in as much information as possible. Once Bubbleator is set as the live wallpaper, just set your phone down or dock it and the app will show you posts from Twitter and Facebook, calendar appointments, missed calls, new text messages, voicemails, and more across your screen.

Bubbleator works in portrait or landscape mode, and unlike most live wallpapers in Android, doesn't appear to consume much in the way of system resources. If you keep your phone docked most of the day and would like a quick way to see if you've missed anything important, Bubbleator does the trick. It's free, and supports all Android phones running 2.1 or higher.
