The consensus on best browsers would be xscope or dolphin hd.

I'm fine with the stock browser but that's just me :)

    Stock for me.
Tried them all , each had it's own shortfall and since I don't use the browser that often I don't care for bugs that I have to work around

Xscope fan here. Probably more from habit now. Back in the early days it was much better than the native browser, but I'm not sure that is still true. So, that's one definite maybe vote for Xscope. :)

You need to just try out the options for yourself. I personally prefer the stock one. YMMV, of course.

Native browser here. Does everything I need it to do.

In the rare case I need to use another browser I use Skyfire. The "enhanced" flash playback can be useful from time to time.

Miren Browser Rocks, except for the icon, that kind of sucks

Official English Version of Miren Browser - xda developers

I was always one of the users who felt the stock android browser was good enough but Miren Browser has a lot of cool stuff built into it. Give it a shot if you haven't worst case scenario: you end up deleting it

Reflash the theme or the rom if it came pre-themed. No need to wipe.

This came from my brain by way of my finger and my phone. Don't ask where any of them have been. Especially he brain.

Upgrade to 4.9 because all 4.8 links seem to be no longer working.

    Index of /froyo/4.9

Do it manually to prevent borking.

I love Dolphin and xScope fairly easily. I love the sleekness of xScope with Black Glass, and the tabs look amazing. But it's not perfect.

Takes some configuring to get the Text Zoom to fit right on your screen and everytime I boot it up it has to reload every single tab. I think the phone kills xScope before any other app, I swear.

Dolphin had better readability for me out of the box, and is just as fast, just without the features of xScope like the Pin-Zoom.
