Used Chevy tools to delete the stock browser since I use Dolphin HD. I set Dolphin as the default and tell the system to remember the choice when it asks the question. The system still asks me everytime which browser to use to complete the task even though the stock browser is deleted. Any way to stop this annoyance and simply use Dolphin as the default?

Dolphin has been my default browser for over a year now. Don't know why the stock browser continued to be an option after using Chevy's tools to delete it. Finally I went to the /system/app folder to see if it was still present after tools told me it was deleted, and sure enough it was still there. Don't know why it left Browser but deleted the others (Amazon MP3, Launcher2, etc). I mounted the system folder and used the mv command to rename Browser.apk to Browser.bak (forgetting the first time that the files are case sensitive :)) Links open directly with Dolphin HD now which is what I wanted. Still could be an issue for others who have tried to delete Browser via tools though. Any insight would also be appreciated...

I don't see how it could have missed it - just ran in terminal:

    # ls -l /system/app/Brows*
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 666276 Aug 1 2008 /system/app/Browser.apk

    # mvbrowser

    Hidden!

    # ls -l /system/app/Brows*
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 666276 Aug 1 2008 /system/app/Browser.apk.bak
