    That is sad!

    Late last month, someone posted a thread that said they were able to find a glass replacement on eBay, I think.

    It may be worth a few minutes of your time to search this forum and or eBay.

    I shielded my droids screen from this thread. Abused and battered Droids make him sad.

    Not abused or battered. Was cold and I was wearing gloves. When I pulled it out of my pocket the glove got caught and the phone slid out of my hand. It fell face down on a loose rock driveway. Touch screen still works.

    as stated above i have heard rumors of people changing out the glass but i don't know much about it myself. good luck with it hope it works out.

    I went ahead and made the insurance claim. I went to a Verizon store and was told they wouldn't warranty it. Was also told the $90 deductible was a one time fee. After reading the contract that seems false. I believe it reads the deductible is for each filed claim. sux sux sux.

    The bad part is that the $90 is per claim and hopfully the droid is still so new that they are not sending refurbs out yet. I feel for ya bro.

    Received my replacement today. Looks new. Is there a way to ID it as new or used. If I remember correctly, the Manufacture date is inside on the label. If I have the right one, my broken one was 45/09. The new one is 05/10.
    Came in a cute little Droid box with a new battery, charger & a 16GB card.

    I had to ask a few questions of Motorola. While I was live chatting with them, I asked if my replacement was new or a refurb. Its brand new.
