Broken LCD, need to send in

The LCD display went out on my rooted Droid1. The phone still works, it rings, etc... I just can't see anything, so obviously I am sending it in. When I rooted the phone, I first installed a rooted 2.1 rom with SPrecovery, then I moved to Bugless Beast 0.4 and ClockworkRecovery.

Is there anyway I can restore my phone to stock without seeing the screen? Possibly key sequences, etc? I can use the RSD Lite program to reinstall the stock 2.1, correct? Will that restore the factory recovery?

I already went to Verizon, and my replacement should arrive tomorrow, but I'm just worried that they might freak out if I mail back a rooted device. Thank you so much for any advice.

If you use RSD lite to install the unrooted 2.1, you should be fine.

Thanks for the fast reply, ndhill1976! That is what I plan to do. Will that restore the factory recovery as well? Or doesn't that matter?
