I was installing the wifi tether and overclock patch and wifi went smoothly, however after the overclock patch I was left with endless reboots at the (M) screen. I tried to use my nandroid backup and it finished, but didnt fix my problem. I also downloaded a complete nandroid backup that was of system, data, cache, boot, misc and recovery and ran that as well, that also completed, but did not fix my problem. I will take suggestions, is there something I should be doing via ADB, loading another ROM or etc?

still in (M) boot loop? even after nandroid restores? did you wipe data, cache, and system? are you running sprecovery .99.2b?

Yeah running .99.2b, I wiped data and cache, and yeah multiple attempts on nandroid. Do I need to wipe system through adb or is there an option in sprecovery?

oh boy, you can try wiping system through adb... sprecovery doesn't give that option...

hopefully somebody else can chime in here. i'm sure you haven't exhausted your options...

I would just start all over and re download the original update.zip file for rooting and install that through sprecovery.

?! I had same issue. Took my phone to a local Verizon store. They did restore it from scratch. Within 30 min everything was done.
A month ago I had a similar problem and got a new handset on the spot.
You shouldn't have to pay to throw $$ on airtime. It's their interest that you get a working unit.
    Just sayin'
