I want to start off saying I'm new to rooting, all the fun that comes along with it and was a droidform stalker for a few days before I actually joned. :blackdroid: The community support between the development teams and the users is pretty awesome.

I have a Droid1 and the new release of SimplyStunning caught my eye...really want to give it a shot but I have tried a few different configurations of voltage/speed (very low to med / 1-1.25) and keep on running into a boot loop.

The blue X it will go for about 30s after the 1st reboot, pause then reboot again. I would say it goes to a 5-10sec time frame of the X before it reboots. I haven't had a problem restoring or anything.

Would the boot loop be an indication that I should accept the option to clear the cache in ROM Manager before continuing the installation. I heard it wasn't required for this ROM and didn't want to if it wasn't necessary.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Yes, you're supposed to wipe data/cache when installing a new ROM.

I'd try a lower speed (1.0, 1.2) or higher voltage.
