My bluetooth cant bypass my phone's lock, is there a way around this? I should be able to press the call button on my bluetooth and bring up search. However, to do so I have to unlock the phone which defeats the purpose of hands free...especially during driving.

Also, is there any way I can have my txts read to me like txt-to-talk?

Never tried bluetooth with the phone, can't be of service, sorry. You could try a factory data reset to see if that clears up your issue, as I find it hard to believe that's not a feature, or there would be more posts about it. I'm having the same issue. I just got the new Bose bluetooth earpiece and it is basically worthless with the screen lock on. I need the screen lock on because when I put my Droid 1 into my holster one of the side buttons gets pressed and turns it back on, just draining my battery and beeping all the damn time, lol Does anyone know if there is a way to keep all the other buttons (other than the power) from waking up the phone? I'd like for just the power button to turn my Droid on at all time.

    Thanks!

Being able to bypass the lock defeats the purpose of locking it.

Bose bluetooth with Droid 1 issues♦

That's part of the problem! I didn't wont the screen to lock, at the same time I needed it to lock so the buttons on the side wouldn't turn it back on when I holstered it. I found an app that took care of that issue though, it is called Auto Unlock. The Bose bluetooth is still an issue, I confirmed that it wasn't the Bose itself. I'm trying to find some setting or app that helps the Bose bluetooths voice dial communicate with the Droid 1 better.

If it isn't actually locked, meaning no password, BT will make calls, and you can't turn it on with the camera or volume buttons.

I'm not sure how often you use your bluetooth device, but if it is only sparingly (like in the car), then try downloading the app No Lock. It allows you to turn the lock screen on and off.

Just turn the lock screen off when you get in the car and that might fix your bluetooth problem.

Also if you use your bluetooth a lot, you can still use the No Lock app, but you'll need to keep your lock screen off more often.

That's what I use. My device is never out of my possession so I never need it locked.
