I made an app for Android 2.2 and above to manage the media volume when streaming bluetooth stereo (A2DP). It also uses the bluetooth disconnect to capture your car location. This app lets you manage each device to decide whether to set the media volume on connect, what media volume to use when connected, whether to capture your location on disconnect, and you can enter a name for each of your bluetooth devices. It can also capture your car location when disconnecting from Car Mode. This is an open source project. Details of the app are here: a2dpvolume - Project Hosting on Google Code .
