Blue band across screen

So I got a droid x today and a blue band has appeared which extends horizontally across the entire screen about a third of the way up from the bottom. It is very thin, but since the device is new and part of the appeal is watching videos, etc., it is very annoying to have this happen already.

I have never had a fancy phone before, so maybe it is like some weird bug and there are little powering on and off CS type tricks to try?

Otherwise is this just a screen defect? If so, do I just take it back and ask for a new one? If they are out and I have to wait will they take the current phone on the spot?

idk about your local verizon reps but mine are great. i got a junk phone. all i did was call them and they are going to get one in asap and i can hang on to this one till the other comes in. but its unusable so i might just have my other phone reactivated and drop this one off when i go past the store.
