How do I do this? and Why is it not a sticky!!! With 2.1 coming around the corner there are going to be some upset people when all their hard work with installing ROMs goes down the drain.

BB 7.4. just didn't see on the ROM details that it was blocked. Is there a way to make sure?

in the file directory "/etc/security" there is a file called "otacerts.zip". it needs to be renamed "otacerts.zip.bak". this doesn't delete the file, it renames it so it's hidden and not able to be used. i used a program called root explorer from the market to do this. press "Mount R/W" and then rename it, then press "Mount R/O".

the Bugless Beast roms already have this done. i would expect others to as well, but that's just an assumption.

go to the /etc/security folder and look for a file named "otacerts.zip" if there is a file that says that, then it is not blocked. if you see a file named "otacerts.zip.bak" then they are being blocked.
