    Blocking location? Remove Latitude?

I've noticed a number of applications on the Market now want either Network or GPS location access, or both. Most of these applications have no reason or need for location access, such as Tic Tac Toe. Turning on even the Network Location function requires you to allow Google to data mine.

Is there any way to leave location on, so things like weather apps function, but disallow Google's data mining and certain applications from using it? What about a blanket location block?

Okay, what about removing the Latitude application? Anyone know how to do that? I looked at the /system/app files and didn't see anything that looked obviously like an apk for it.
