In case you aren't a gamer, or use a rock as your roof, BlizzCon 2011 is coming soon. This is an annual convention that celebrates the main franchises for the gaming company, Blizzard. They have had a "teeny bit" of success. You might have heard of their three main games... titles called Diablo, Starcraft and World of Warcraft? This event is later this week on October 21st through the 22nd, and is expected to have a turnout of around 30,000 people.

Apparently, Blizzard teamed up with NVIDIA this year to bring out their BlizzCon 2011 Android app. This app is designed to help folks maximize their time and navigate around to see all the good stuff at the event. Here's a breakdown of features:
  • A built-in calendar and planner that allows you to view the details of all the events taking place and add them to your personal calendar. The items in your itinerary can then be sorted by day, time, game series, and more.
  • The option to set alerts to notify you of any event on your calendar.
  • A complete zoomable map of BlizzCon.
Obviously this is only useful for folks that are planning to go to BlizzCon 2011, but if that includes you, then share your experiences with us, so we can live vicariously through you. :)

You can find the app at the MarketPlace: BlizzCon2011 Android App
