I look forward to new developments in my new favorite mobile operating system. It's cool if you want to be all conservative and stick with the last thing that works best for you, but I myself enjoy having a phone I can look forward to improving without buying a new phone before my contract is up.

Try it out before you knock it, it looks like it has potential! Anything does with enough effort and support. I'm using Swype, love it. Very minor issues with it but after all, it's a beta for Droid so at least I can bring it up and try to improve it as a beta tester, and I do!

I saw a video of one of the demonstrators typing a full text in the front pocket of his sweatshirt. CRAZY!

I'm very much looking forward to getting a hold of something with this on it. Since the new swype was released, I've been growing more and more frustrated with it and I'm looking for something new to try out :)

I'm really looking forward to this. I'll be upgrading from my Droid 1 soon and this app takes away reservations that I have about not having a physical keyboard.

Google bought the company out a few weeks ago. Since then, no new information has been released.

No don't say that I was really looking forward to this ****.
I finally went back to swype I just wish I could access the dictionary of words I have typed rather than manually editing them as I type them to add/delete words :(

Google buying them out is a good thing though! It means that they've got income and we have a high chance of having them in our phones (some people are suggesting that some of the tech is what is in Gingerbread's keyboard, but of course there is no firm answer on that).

My phone's currently backing up in preparation for some tweaking so I can't check myself (plus I don't currently have swype installed), but if you go to settings > keyboard and language > swype, aren't there settings there to get into your dictionary?

Ah.. once google gets it going it'll be a good thing. I think they'll take abit longer releasing it though.
