I just installed CyanogenMod9 on my Droid 3, well almost.
So I go through the steps I found online here. How to Upgrade Motorola Droid 3 to Android 4.0 ICS Using CyanogenMod 9
And I get to the last step, reboot.
I reboot, I see the Motorola Dual Core splash screen, then the SafeStrap splash screen that tells me to wait 10 seconds/press menu for recovery/press search to continue. I’ve tried both pressing search to continue and waiting 10 seconds, but regardless, I get a blank black screen.
Anyone know what's going on and have a fix? What did I do wrong?

Did you do a factory reset first?

Did the same for me. Make shure you switched out of safeboot mode first. If that doesn't work than you bricked It. XD

not at all, you are not bricked, I am having the same issue currently with my B63M, finally I got visuals on my screen only when I flashed a boot.img for my phone.

The only issues I am having now is that I cant boot into recovery I get same blank screen but after I remove the battery and replace, the normal boot works and I can at least use my phone to make and receive calls and use the apps, so I hope to solve my recovery issues somehow as no one seem to have an idea yet.

But as you your blank screen, I dont think you are bricked.
