Share your thoughts on whether we should resurrect the sliding QWERTY KB or not.

I don't see a downside. I actually liked the solid KB and welcome its return...

Yes, depending on how good the kb is.

I've never used one. The last time I touched physical buttons to type it was on a T9 keyboard and I was so horrible at it that I never sent text messages.

I don't see a positive reason, somehow the slider parts will malfunction, I see it as a losing gimmicky, last ditch effort for Blackberry.

Correct, but it could also be like the Droid where the slider is butter.

We will have to wait for reviews. And plus one article is saying it will come out in Q2 of 2016. If that is the case that is a bad move for bb and will definitely kill it.

The my daughter had the first Droid slider (when I still was rocking the Blackberry) and the KB on hers was not that great, I recall sand got in it or something else, and it wouldn't easily close, but I think the second Droids slider was better.

My wife and I both had the Droid 4 and always thought the KB on that was fantastic and so easy to use. I could never type on a virtual KB the way I could on my Droid. We both kept hoping and praying for a Droid 5 with the latest specs but it never happened. Blackberry may be our welcome relief!

Most definitely! If we have manual and automatic transmissions in cars, why not have a choice of physical and virtual keyboards?
