Hey guys, i was really hoping you could help me "black out" my android os. I want to have a black theme for my apps and for everything else just because i like it more, its easier on my eyes, and i want to save some battery.

so, any ideas on how to "black out" my os?

Are you rooted? Almost everything is black (inverted) on mine and I love it!! :dancedroid:

I want a black notification bar so bad for my D2, but I'm terrified of rooting. I had a used rooted g1 and that thing was nothing but trouble. I like having a brand new phone out of the box, and worry rooting will turn this into a basket of worry.

Hope someone makes an app to theme the top bar some day. ADW has some sexy black themes if you don't want to root, and you can always hide the notification bar like I do.

The notification bar is a system file, so only accessible via root currently. However, leaked pictures of Gingerbread show it having a dark notification bar stock.

Yeah, yeah.. I'm on my phone. So?
