Apps. There are a ton out there..and everyone has lists of *Gotta Have* or *Best* ,and how about tweaks? Those lists are scattered and sometimes seem to work better on a different device or within a different phone setup. I often wonder what apps other BIONIC users run, or at least recommend to fellow BIONIC users.

These are some of the main apps that follow me through upgrades/FDR's, etc. There are others like a few games, but these are the main ones.

NEEDS ROOT

Titanium Backup ★ root https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup

Root Explorer (File Manager) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer *IMO the best file explorer*
WiFi Key Recovery https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aws.apps.wifiKeyRecovery

Handcent SMS https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handcent.nextsms

Great HD Wallpapers https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.medoli.greathdwallpapers
Wallbase HD Wallpapers https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citc.wallbase

Browsers

Chrome https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome *Still getting used to*
Dolphin Browser https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser

System tweaks that I'm still trying to figure out if needed

Motomizer Free Edition https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.j.y.daddy.optimizer *ROOT*

Hidden Features FREE ICS Edt. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.widgapp.HiddenFeaturesFREE_ICS

Since a lot of us are running ICS now (Thanks Sam for the culmination of work from some great minds which is now the HOB) , we now have Smart Actions. There are suggested rules and blank rules, but at least for myself, they seem too generic and not as customizable as I would like.

What Smart Actions or other tweaks are some of you using to prolong battery life and overall system performance?

I would not recommend Brightest Flashlight Free as it has been flagged on others forums as a possible data mine app. Why does a flashlight need your precise gps location?

I would recommend Droidlight by Motorola Mobility. Its made by our very own OEM and doesn't have any silly permissions.

I've always been fond of Droidlight; it's a solid app and is from Motorola. No shady permissions, either.

Camera Zoom FX- Stock Bionic camera was a certified POS.
Dolphn Browser- "Swipeable" (is that a word) bookmark menu is quick and easy to use.
Dropbox- Moving pics and files to and from a PC without plugging or being at home is great.
FoxFi- Becasue I'm cheap.
Nextflix, Pandora, Slacker Radio (recent updates made it usable), iHeart radio, Tune In Radio- These are the real reasons we get smartphones.
QuickOffcie- I still use the free bloatware version. Reads pdf's and excel docs easily.
Speedtest- For bragging rights to use against iphone 4's, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile users.
Swiftkey 3- Amazing keyboard with spell check and predictions. Goes on sale often on the play store.
Weather Bug- i like it better than the Weather Channel app. Displays degrees in the notification bar (not a clunky box like TWC), widget is quick and easy to use. Nice 2 x 1 size,
Redbox- Find what you want, before you leave the house. Saves a trip to the store.
Beautiful Widgets- Tons of options, you can always find something you like or just mix it up. Goes on sale a lot at the play store.

I could be mistaken, but I believe Adaway is a superior product to Adfree. Adaway's block list includes 4 lists(one of whichis Adfree's), so Adaway should block more ads. I know I used Adfree initially, but I kept getting ads on my games, so I went to Adaway and the ads stopped.

Ironically, after I upgraded to ICS yesterday I notied an ad in one of my games. I didn't even know it had ads. LOL. Sure enough, with the upgrade to ICS Adaway's lists were removed. Reenabled Adaway and the ads are gone again.

I recommend romtoolbox pro over titanium backup. Fewer problems with botched restores. It also includes a bunch of other utilities such as a good ad blocker. I am ES File Explorer is another must have. It has too many great features to list.
