I find ApeX to be a good rom, but I was wondering; is there one out there which mimics either a true "Google Experience" ala Nexus One/S or a true Vanilla Rom with only the bare essentials necessary? An "Android Experience" of sorts?

To my knowledge fission was like that when I had it months ago.

Fission used to be the best for Vanilla but then the devs started adding Blur back in. Ruined it for me.

So are you saying it's going to provide a pure vanilla experience?

Very close to it. For ABSOLUTELY pure vanilla, check out Cobalt or Obsidian. They are source built, but there are things broken with them

Is there not a pure Google Experience Rom for DX out there?

I wish it were that easy.

Pure AOSP roms are the following: Obsidian, Cobalt, Ultimate Droid and soon to be Phoenix and CM

These roms have broken features, and other issues due to the locked bootloader slowing down and breaking production. The mostly blurless roms that bring the google experience are rubiX Focused, Fission, Liberty and GummyJAR.

I'm biased towards rubiX since I developed it.

Rubix is the most solid aosp like rom, imo. Liberty is wicked, but some phones don't like it (mine doesn't) fission is pretty fly but pretty plain, though fairly customizable same for rubix. Go with one of those two I think.

go with liberty. It is just about 100% aosp and will provide you with a "google" experience.
