Best Messaging app??

Just looking for opinions. I keep going back and forth from the HTC (what came with phone). to Handcent. I would use Hancent if the LED options worked, i cant seem to change colors on my HTC thunderbolt like i did with my original droid in handcent.

One option for you may be to keep Handcent but use SMS Popup for notifications. Turn off Handcent notifications and use SMS Popup instead - fully customizable LED options and more. I use ChompSMS preferably (cleaner UI) but Go SMS Pro is also very popular!

handcent is the best in my opinion. if you use it go into settings and sign up for handcent and you can customize it with font, skins, backgrounds all for free.

I used Handcent a while back, but now I use GoSMS exclusively. It has the popup messaging like Handcent, but I like the options it has better.

also, the t-bolt only has green and red for the led colors, so there's not much you can do in that department
