As you can gather by my sig, I'm running BB v0.4 with chevy's 1.1 LV kernel.
I'm not having any issues or anything like that.
I know some will say benchmarks from quadrant are pointless.
Well that may be, however, I wanted to try something anyway.
With BB v0.4 by itself, stock kernel, I ran an 1150 benchmark.
Then I added the 1.1 LV kernel and ran a 1483 benchmark.
Good enough for me but I was wondering if anyone has any opinions
on which chevy kernel works best with BB v0.4 ???

    Thx,

    And yet another test:

I just flashed the 1.1 ULV kernel and ran a 1365 benchmark.

So for now I guess I'll keep it on the ULV for the foreseeable future unless
something goes haywire or someone has a more sufficient recommendation.

    thx

As a general rule, you want the lowest voltage kernel that still meets the speed you want. If your stable with the ULV, then your good to go. Some phones require LV or MV kernels in order to OC stably.

When I try to run any of the ulv kernels, my phone either won't boot, or I get lock ups. I believe that's all you really have to look for

Use SetCPUs built in stress test. 10 min should be plenty, just make sure it passes that and doesn't get too hot (want battery temps below ~42C-43C). Also watch for general 'weirdness' as that can indicate you have too low a voltage (force closes, lack of responsiveness, etc)

When I run ULV kernels, everything is smooth for a few hours, and then I start to get freezes and reboots. On Chevy's new 800 ULV, I can go about a day before it freezes up.

Anyway, Quadrant scores don't mean too much. You rarely push your phone that hard anyway. I settled with Chevy's 800 LV because it gives me spectacular battery life and the phone actually seems more responsive than with his 1.1 or 1.2 kernels. His 1.0 was great, but the battery life wasn't quite as good (even with the max set at 800).
