best idea to make a text group

i have a large group of golf buddies and i want to make a group to text them. whats the best way to set it up. i am using handcent but when i go to batch mode it takes to long. i am looking for an easy way to set up.

What I do is send a message to all of the people in a group and then just lock that message so when i clear out inbox that message will still be there. then when i want to message all of the people again i go to that thread and add to it and itll send it out to everyone.

or go to the market and get an app that creates group contacts. the one ive used is called "group contacts creator 1.5"

or just go to your google account, log in and go to contacts, and make the new group from your contacts.
That's how i did it. I send group text to 25 people at once using handcent.
