Guy's I got my Droid the day after Christmas. I found and joined this forum in January. Thanks to the members of this forum, I've learned so much about the Droid. Last Sunday, I rooted and installed BB 0.7.5. Since then, the developer has posted several new releases.

I know I old but I'm having a heck of a time keeping up with the flurry of activity that took place this past week.

So I agree and wonder how one keeps abreast of these changes?

I have been using Bugless Beast 0.7.5 - 2.0.1 and it has been working great for me. I used the guide at this link. It has the 2.1 multi- touch browser, 2.1 gallery, 5 screens, and runs very smooth and stable OCed at 800. If you follow the guide and remove the smoked glass theme, the landscape mode at the desktop works without needing to open the physical keyboard. And with being able to add the live wallpapers now, it's a real nice ROM to start with.

Yeah, I'm with ya Mike. I just rooted a couple weeks ago also and yes, it has been going crazy around here. I've been doing a lot a research and still feel like I barely have a clue. Good Luck!

Like you, BC, I used the link Matth3W created. I installed SetCPU and OC to 1000MHz. So far no problems and great battery life. I was not aware that Matt's instructions included a process to remove the smoked glass theme. Prior to rooting, I visited the developers (Pete) posting for 0.7.5 on Alldroid, org, which is not longer available, and I thought it said that this particular release (rom) included smoked glass. Earlier today, on a different thread, I read that there are two kernels for BB. One (AdamZ) has
    more blue that Pete's.

For now, I'm contend to let the dust settle before I move to the next release.

This is how you fix that,

    adb shell
    su
    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    cd /system/bin
    cat sh>su
    sync
    reboot

I am currently running 1.0 and it runs great as before, the only thing it doesnt have is the live wallpapers because of root issues, like the one above.

So I am running 7.9 I can still OC to 1GHz. I am using a live wall paper with no issues. I think some folks who ran it where unable to OC after installing? Seems just as responsive as 7.6

The Live Wallpapers are nice eye candy...

anyway..I have a backup of 7.6 ready to roll if something goes wrong....and I have 1.0 waiting in the wings...this ROM stuff is fun!
