Best Application to Manage Notification Sounds?

Resently got a Droid X, trying have different sounds for a text message and email. Tried Zedge but having trouble setting email nof. sound from text msg sound. Gone into email noficiation settings and set the sound, but it changes right back to default.

Any suggestions?
