Rumors say that it is only going to be a Galaxy Note 7 edge that will be the Note 7 this year. There could actually be that a flat-screen Note 7 Lite that will accompany the curved-screen Note 7, that will, with little doubt, get the juices rolling for those who wants a flat screen Note 7. The supposed specs may support that thought.
The Geekbench entry from yesterday of the SM-N930F, which is the model number considered likely for the “normal” Note 7.

So my question to those who want a flat screen Note 7. Would you go and get the Galaxy Note 7 Lite that has the specs of the Note 5 or would you just get the more powerful Note 7?

There'd be no reason to upgrade from the Note 5...

Other than, the waterproofing, expanded memory.

If I'm upgrading from the Note 5, I'm actually upgrading. Not dishing out a bunch of money for the exact same phone with one or two extra features. That's a huge waste.

The last note I has was the 3 so I may be in the market for the flat screen version for sure.

Wanting a flat screen version. Wanting to make a jump to a new phone from my M8 but VZW keeps teasing 5G, maybe I should wait.

I would just buy the Note 5 at a discounted price. Since the Note 7 is out they would lower the price on the 5.
