Any reason why one might be better than the other? I've tried both and get similar scores, but I was hoping to hear other's experiences.

For me....P3's kernels have more battery life than bekits...Don't know why but they just seem to for me. I'm running BB 1.0 leaked.

I haven't even paid enough attention to battery life, so I'm glad you mentioned that. Does anyone know if Chevy plans on making some kernels compatible with Cyanogen based roms?

well for me, bekit didn't work on ese81, so i'm on p3droid for now. just switched from chevy's. can't tell much difference for now. looking at the notes on bekit though, it seems he was using the same voltages as adamz, so there wouldn't be much difference there.

I've tried and tested both of them. They are both EXCELLENT kernels but if I had to decide on one I would have to go with Bekits. I get a little better battery life on Bekits.

Bekit runs a few degrees cooler on my device as well.

Performance wise they are neck and neck. I did not notice any speed difference.

P3droid's kernels use koush's new format that allows them to be used on any ROM. Bekit's current kernels aren't available in this format so they only work on cyanogenmod. Also Bekits kernels automatically mount sd-ext partitions allowing apps2sd.

I used P3droids kernels when on ese53 and now bekits on cyanogen mod 5.0.6.2 so other than those features I havent had the chance to really compare the two. battery life, etc.....

I tried both, and honestly could not tell the difference. My phone is running very stable with the Bekit 7x1200LV kernel, so I think I am going to stick with that one for now. Having both available on ROM Manager to play with is sweet!!!

I tried Bekits 1300 Med voltage the other day and my Droid didn't like it at all.. I had to restore a backup due to a solid lockup. I am running P3droids1250 now without any troubles at all..

Would like to know the diff as far as performance. I am using chevy and prob gonna stay with it; chevy was one of the first on the droid and he continues to do good work. But I am looking to note some honest performance diff between the 3.

Its just a washout between them. Diff phones have diff results. I tried all of them and finally settled with P3 900 MHz LV kernel which gives me best battery life

Bekit's low voltage 5-step 1200, myself. It runs longer and cooler than any other kernel I've tried.

    I use Bekit 1.0LV 7slot. No issues.
I've read in the past, that you should only use a kernel to which you plan to max your oc (ie if you only run at 1000mhz, no reason to install 1100 or 1200 kernel). I noticed a lot of people don't do this (they put on a 1200lv kernel, yet never overclock past 800 or 1000). Not sure why they do this, but because I don't go over 1000, that is the only speed kernel I put on.

I wonder how different any of these kernels actually are.

I been playing with P3 and Bekit kernels with CM 5.0.6.2 and Lemon Ice theme.

Loaded up Bekit 7 slot 1GHz kernel. Conservative governer always locks it at max speed.

Did anybody observed this? Ondemand works fine but only min or max speeds.

No such issues with P3 kernel.
