Once again I am experiencing terrible battery issues with the Bugless Beast ROM v6.2. I cleared battery stats and let it run down to reset it. the battery will drop from 40 to 5 percent in a matter of minutes. I have also noticed that I can be fresh off of a charge, be showing 100% battery and as soon as I watch a video or use certain apps that use the Androids sensors the battery goes discharges in about 5minutes. Anyone else?

Try a Sapphire 2.0 kernel. They start compcache as soon as you install them, run cool as hell, and my battery lasts forever. Just make sure it's one for 2.0 if you want compcache. It's worked on every rom I've tried it on too...

You're comparing apples with oranges though. Of course the stock kernel is going to have better battery life and won't run as hot. You're comparing an 800mhz kernel with one that's 1.1Ghz, which is obviously a drastically higher clock speed! Try comparing an 800mhz kernel with the stock one and then you can know which works better for your phone.

I run a 900mhz kernel and it's MORE than enough. I used to run 1.1Ghz kernels. Now i realize that once you go past 1Ghz on the d1, you're just killing your phone and it doesn't get that much faster. The processor just isn't designed to run that high...

OP, I too share this problem.

Have you tried any of the suggested kernels with any results? I am curious to know.

Yes your are right I didn't think about that. I will try the 900 mhz one and report back as soon as I try it and let it run for a day.
    Thanks

I wish you luck. All phones do run a little different and therefore won't always like the same kernels, but you don't know until you try. My phone hates slayher kernels and will almost always run too hot with them. Now i stick to CVPCS Sapphire kernels and chevyno1 kernels. The chevy ones don't have compcache, but they still run smoothly for many. If you want to know more about Overclocking there is a thread posted by Skull One titled Overclocking 101. I learned a TON from reading it. There's a section where he talks about clock speeds and voltages if i remember correctly.
