To get the mms.apk that has all of the notification options, download the CyanogenMod ROM, pull the mms.apk out of the system/app folder and put it on your SD card. then just install it like any other .apk. It gives you the different colored LED options as well as the different vibration options. As far as the LED color options for email, I haven't seen a .apk that does that, only additional notification options built into other ROMS.

Try Missed Reminder, I think it is a must have app for everyone. It's free in the marketplace and lets you change everything about any notification (besides Talk)

    CM6's mms.apk doesn't give you LED options.
However, it does you you vibrate and sound options, as well as a plethora of other options. I recommend using it, I do.
Pete has a change mms script to make changing the apk very easy.

With the CM6 mms.apk, its in settings>notification settings. Is that the one you were talking about having trouble with?

Let me double check when I get back home to my computer this afternoon, I could be wrong about where it came from, but I do know I have a mms.apk that has the LED options and works BB.5.

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App

If you don't mind. I have 4 different sized .apk files and none of them are working. I picked up Missed Reminder app from the market, but would def prefer a stand alone....

Here, try this. I think you were right about the CM6 mms.apk, I have lost track of which ones are which. I have gone though so many looking for the same thing you are after it has gotten out of control.

Installed Missed Reminder. However it just constantly crashes and force closes.

    Any advice?

Alright, reinstalled. It now doesnt crash, but the led does not flash.

I also tried blink. It should work, but when I get an email my light now doesn't blink at all.

I have bb .5 on a droid with a chevy kernel and smoked glass.

Any ideas. Trying the attached file now.

Blink won't help on Droid under Froyo 2.2. At least it doesn't on mine...

Mad, when how did you uninstall mms.apk first? Mine prompts an uninstall failed.

Edit: just deleted using root explorer and installed the new one. Works great
