Tried reloading with reformating all ... still getting crappy battery life. Moderate use and it only goes about 11 hours to dead. Any advice??

Did you recalibrate your cpu? Charge completely...wipe batt stats in recovery...use till phone dies..charge completely again.

11 hours seems bad when it mostly is just sitting on the desk. Then with a little web surfin or angry birds(for etc) it drops like a rock. 5 min. and i'll loose at least 10%. That just seems excessive. Maybe thats just me. I have not tried recalibration of the battery on PE yet. I did try that with ShadowRom and it dodnt change a lot with that one.

Odd that your display would say that if its off most of the day.

I was having battery issues (frankly because of the high performance of the rom). even though I swear by slayhers kernels, I switched to chevys ULV 1.25ghz kernel, set a new profile in set cpu for 250mhz/250mhz(ondemand) while screen off, 1ghz/400mhz(chevy has interactive) while screen on. Its now 3am est and I took my phone off charge at 4am last night and with heavy random use still have 50%. I can't believe how long this lasted, internet/games/wifi/installing-uninstalling apps/chandroid/youtube and so much other random phone stuff. so basically I don't have eliteoptions controlling the kernel only set cpu, and compcache is not on either. everyone should give this exact method a try, this simple method has tripled my battery life.

for whatever reason, my Droid doesn't like Chevy's ULV kernels. i'll get random reboots in the middle of CPU-intensive actions, such as streaming HD video or doing a full TiBu backup (WHICH WILL WIPE AN SD CARD!)...so i'm back on Slayher SLV1.1, using SetCPU profiles in much the same way.

i play with my phone a bunch, so i'll only get 12-16 hrs if it's not on the charger during downtimes. that's life with a hi-tech toy!

Agreed. I too disabled Elite to manage my cpu and let SetCPU take control and I noticed a great increase in my battery life.

If I'm not mistaken, as long as you have setcpu running, elite options won't interfere it. Elite should just set the speed at boot, then SetCpu will take over.

Ive been a PE supporter since v1, and I have to say I had to switchto another ROM because of the battery life. It was like Droid Inc. bad.

Running MIUI now, but will be back once I see v3 has fixed the battery issues.

I don't use the auto display either, I set my display pretty much close to minimum 10 to 20 percent to minimize display

No battery issues here at all. If anything, better then I was getting with Sapphire.

But then again, I've never seen much if any difference in battery life between any of the roms I've tried.

Your kernel choice for ANY rom will have a much larger impact on battery life than any rom could match. Not only kernel choice, but how you use it.
