Like I said, I would have to see screen time. I could burn through a maxx battery in a day with my use. My og razr gets 3 1/2 to 4 hours screen time which I think it's decent. That usually gets me 11 to 14 hours. So a maxx getting 7 - 8 hours screen time would get me 22 - 28 hours. But if I was on it a lot, I could easily burn through 8 hours of screen time in one day if I wanted to.

Good point. I see what you're saying. What do you want me to post? A pic of what? Maybe I'm running something that's burning my battery faster.

When you get down 25% or less without charges. Go into settings, battery. Snap a screen shot. Then tap on screen and snap a screen shot of the time. Then at that point I'd have a good idea if further steps are required

A lot of people confuse talk time with any type of use, but the fact is, browsing uses a lot more. One big reason is the screen. The single greatest drain on your battery is the screen. That's why turning the brightness and display sleep time down can make a huge difference. Yeah if I was constantly browsing for a straight hour, I would probably burn 25 - 30% of my total battery on my og RAZR.

Also reception makes a HUGE difference. When I'm at home where reception is marginal, my battery drains much faster than if I'm on Wi-Fi or in a good reception area. At my in laws house where reception is great I can leave it on 4g and use less battery than 3g does at my house. Probably those powerful Motorola radios are working a lot harder art my house

Yup thats right. Secondly i have keept the brightness to 20% with no background sync. May be the browser it self drains battery bcoz if i looks the usage the browser is like 10% or so.

I wish my Nexus got that kind of battery...LOL. Gaming/Browsing an hour straight would probably put me close to about 50%. Seems to me you are getting quite adequate life. Especially based on your screenshots. GSAM reports you had 38 minutes of screen on time and only lost 8%. Nothing wrong with that all....

How do I turn off or disable background sync. Would doing so affect anything like Pandora.
Is it a good idea to turn it off for the sake of battery life?

You didn't take one of the screen time, that was the most important part. Lol. The only thing I cash tell from this screen shot is your display brightness is probably to high. I always keep mine below 30% when indoors, and only go to auto if I'm in the bright sunlight

If you turn background data sync off you will still be able to receive calls and text. If you have background data off then you will need to have WiFi on (and be connected to a WiFi network) to receive Pandora. You have on your phone a program called SmartActions. Many users find this program very useful for maximizing battery resources. There are a multitude of "scenarios" you can setup that will control display, data on/off/wifi, gps, bluetooth on or off etc. For instance you can set a scenario where if the phone is idle (not moving) and the display is off for 1 minute and you are in a recognized WiFi area the phone will turn background data off and wifi on until one of the "triggers" change...then it would turn background data back on...just an example.

Thanks for the information, I'll give it a try.
